Welcome to Monteith’s Lakehouse where we love to watch our beautiful Lake Wendouree and her ever-changing waters. We are fortunate to experience misty mornings, glistening sunrises, stormy choppy days and tranquil evenings, with no two days ever alike.
OUR SPACE
Our Lakehouse has two bedrooms, one with a king bed and ensuite, the other with a queen bed and separate bath in the bathroom.

Both plush beds have goose down quilts, duck down pillows and electric blankets to keep you very comfortable.
The house has gas central heating and a reverse cycle in the sitting room and bedroom ceiling fans for the warmer months.
The sitting room doors slide open capturing a lovely breeze from the landscaped garden and terrace facing north overlooking Lake Wendouree.

THINGS TO DO
Lake Wendouree
Walk or ride (we have 2 bikes for you) around the lake. It’s 6km and there are some great stops along the way for coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch, drinks or dinner, as well as the Botanical Gardens. Or throw a line in and catch a trout for dinner.
Farmers Market
Lake Wendoree Farmers Market is on the 2nd Saturday every month. There are other wonderful farmers markets all within 30mins drive of Ballarat.
Art Gallery of Ballarat
A 20 min walk or 10 min bike ride into town is the Gallery,one of the best in the country and home to over 10,000 works, plus excellent exhibitions and workshops
Sovereign Hill
There is always something happening here, Christmas in July, Sound and Light Show, just to name a few.
Mt Buninyong
Walk up Mt Buninyong and have a delicious brunch/lunch at The Shared Table in Buninyong or the Mt Buninyong Winery.
Mitchell Harris Wine Bar
This place has got style, great wine, delicious food, is seriously cool and they have terrific events.
